I would be very interested in any addresses and/or phone numbers you may have for major PowWows and/or Committees Members around the Southwest Pow Wow circuit. Here is some information about our company here in Los Angeles.

Savage Grace Audio Sound Reinforcement Systems

SGA is located in Los Angeles, California and specializes in live sound reinforcement for Native American celebrations throughout the greater Southwest. Our professional 24 channel, four-way sound reinforcement system provides full, live mixing capabilities ideal for any indoor or outdoor event. We also provide experienced, highly trained sound engineers to operate and maintain all equipments required for your event. We are fully capable of accomodating up to three host drums as well as any contest drums that require the use of remote, wireless microphones.

Jim Sheridan, General Manager

Jim's expertise in the area of professional sound reinforcement has been accumulated over the past 20 years. He brings to the company a sound understanding of the technical and real needs for any 'live' situation. Having spent the better part of his career touring the greater Midwest and Canada, he brings to the Southwest years of hard won experience. It is his belief that the sole purpose of any sound company is to provide the artist with the greatest means to deliver his or her best to the audience, worry-free. Jim accompanies the engineers for on-site management and technical direction.

Mike Contreras, Head Engineer

A Native American Indian himself (member of the Chumash Nation in California) our head engineer has 17 years experience as a professional sound technician. To his credit, Mike has worked in both live and recording environments with such noted artists as: Fleetwood Mac, Three Dog Night, Edgar Winter, Frank Zappa and Rick Derringer. Furthering his education in the Broadcast Industry, Mike is currently attending Rancho Santiago College majoring in Mass Media, Camera Work and Pre/Post Production. He is also working on an internship at Digital Broadcasting Channel, a division of Broadcast Image.

In addition to his position at Savage Grace Audio, Mike is the founder of First American Sound Engineers. His purpose in establishing this organization was to benefit Native Americans by providing them with the best quality sound, whether at Powwows or in studio recording sessions.
