This message will serve as a disclaimer to the
recent messages intercepted on the internet.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is a Reservation located in North and South Dakota. It has been brought to my attention that a group that call themselves "The Dakota Sovereign Traditional Oyate" are soliciting funds for an emergency disaster situation on Standing Rock. The messages on the Internet have referred to Russell (Rusty) Gates as the President of this group and have even referred to him as the Tribal President. Please be aware that this group has no association with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Mr. Gates and some of the members are not Tribal Members. They are not chartered or incorporated by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Our Tribe did experience tremendous hardship in the plight of the storms which hit in December and January. However, our Tribe and Tribal members and donors from around the country responded to these emergencies with great heroism.
