New Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura recently appeared on Minnesota Public Radio to discuss the reroute and the December 20 police strike, asking "If this is so important, why wasn't anyone trying to stop the reroute thirty years ago?"

KVSC 88.1 FM will broadcast an exclusive interview with Carol Kratz, the resident who resisted the reroute of Highway 55 and the destruction of her home for forty years of her life, on Tuesday at 12:25 pm. The 1/2 hour interview will cover the history of opposition to the protest, how the occupation came to be in the Summer of 1998, Carol's perspective on the October 14 and December 20 police raids, life since the loss of her home, and the future of the land.
