Russell Means has received a subpoena to appear before the Grand Jury in Sioux Falls, South Dakota concerning the murder of Anna Mae Pictou-Aquash. Public observation upon the adjourned Grand Jury only.

The subpoena resulted from the public statements made by Russell Means and Robert A. Pictou-Branscombe that was presented at the recent Denver, Colorado Press Conference on November 3, 1999. This, in addition to the current press conferences in Ottawa and Nova Scotia, Canada ~ Parliament Hill and the Mi'kmaq Reserve in association with Anna Mae Aquash's daughters.

The Grand Jury will convene at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 1999, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the Federal Building; 400 South Phillips. Russell Means is prepared to make a public statement to the media following his testimony in Sioux Falls at approximately 12:00 noon when the jury is adjourned.
