The Winnebago Bison Projects is a project of the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and operates on a volunteer basis. The project is in need of assistance to get the program operational for another summer. The project also uses the services of church work groups, Senior Employment Program, Winnebago Tribal Court Community Service workers, Summer Youth Workers and other volunteers to build electric fence and clear specific areas of the refuges. I also use kids who come to me and say, I'M BORED.
Therefore, the Winnebago Bison Project is sponsoring a spring cleanup day, and a have fun day. You are invited to attend, bring your entire family.

Please contact Louis LaRose or Richelle (Bambi) Marr, 402-878-3219. You can also leave an e-mail message bison@huntel.net to volunteer or get updated information. Your help is really needed to restore bison to the Winnebago Reservation in a manner that is compatible with the spiritual and cultural practices of the tribe.
