With their riveting styles and excuisite palettes, two Ojibwe artists honor American Indian people for their integrity, spirit and traditions in NATIVE SONS, an exhibit that opens during American Indian Month.

SAM ENGLISH
(Turtle Mountain and Red Lake Bands of Chippewa) dips into bright colors to create a world in which Indian people make the transition between traditional and modern ways of life. Under skies that glitter with stars or bright sun, his people wear integrity and inspire pride.

JOE GESHICK
(Bois Forte Ojibwe) reaches into traditional ceremonies to illustrate a celestial stillness. His characters and compositions, in richly textured layers of vibrant earth tones, reflect the healing power of ceremonies and the artist's gratitude for their impact on his life.
