Tenth Annual Traditional Prayer Vigil, Commemorating 27 Years of Sacrifice and False Imprisonment for Leonard Peltier, North American First Nation’s POW 89637-132. To be held on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Anishnawbe Health in Toronto, 225 Queen Street East (at Sherbourne).Anishnawbe Health Toronto and the Leonard Peltier Defence Committee Canada (Coalition) invite you to attend the 10th Annual Traditional Prayer Vigil in Honour of Leonard Peltier.
Join us as we pray for justice and freedom for Leonard Peltier and celebrate his courage and sacrifice in defense of the land, our people and our way of life. Attend a workshop and join our sharing circle. Discussion themes include: Reclaiming our values and identities, strengthening our working community and remembering our relatives in the struggle for truth and justice.
Find out about the direction and projects of the Canadian and American campaign for Leonard Peltier’s freedom and how you can help. Post cards will be distributed and sent to Prime Minister Chretien calling for a Commission of Public Inquiry into Leonard Peltier's 1976 extradition proceedings.
Morning and afternoon workshops; traditional feast, give-a-way, and Anishnawbe Women Community Singers. Donations to LPDC Canada Defense Fund are much appreciated. Please make a gift contribution to the traditional give-a-away.
