Ahneen Kakinna (Hello all friends),

It has been 31 days since the blockade went up in Grassy Narrows, Slant Lake area. people have been dropping in every now and then from all walks live. A few gas trucks have attempted to go through in thinking we all would break for the holidays. I don't really know why they would think that. We have been struggling for 30 years and they never gave us a break for thirty years. We don't know how to take time off anymore nor will we ever give up either. We like to thank those people, from the bottom of our hearts, for their generous provisions they send us, especially from all the way from Hawaii. We are speechless when it comes to this and we can only look up the heavens to give thanks to the creator for his children.

In other news, the conservative majority in the Ontario legislature has voted down a motion calling for a mechanism that would allow revenue from resource development to be shared with first nations in Ontario. The vote was defeated by a 39-35. The tories are perpetuating a two tier system when it come to sharing revenues from mining and logging, while Municipalities benefit from resources development and First Nations do not except in a form welfare transfer payments the Federal Government provides to the province to subsidies. It's incredible, yet it is first Nation who are facing environmental impacts as result of their greed and over management of the resources. The other Matter is the province takes a big chunk of revenues from First Nation charitable Casinos, yet he won't share any of his.

Our country, this Turtle Island, and in the United Kingdom are all trying to convince the rest of the world that they must take serious to threats to chemical warfare. Yet we have been living under that threat for years. I wonder what they would call that? Perhaps they would dismiss it the same way they dealt with slather of buffalo, undo the wilderness and subdue the wilderness because God told us so "a slogan they adopted from the bible". Contrary to most beliefs. I saw this this last fall when the Joint Trust opened it's $100,000,000.00 new plant. They made an elder blessed it and I am waiting to what truth will lie ahead this one, or do we just use people to break the trails for us and take without restrain.

I guess we all have to just keep going just like those good red blood cells in our bodies to keep fighting those bad white cells and the infection of this world that evolves and what may come.

Awsa...Steve
