BOULDER, COLORADO - The Native American Rights Fund is on the road with the Crosby Stills Nash & Young ~ Tour of America. Organizers of the tour invited The Native American Rights Fund (NARF) to participate in over 40 scheduled concert venues to impart the issues affecting Native Americans today. The tour will draw hundreds of thousands of CSNY fans that started on February 6 and ends on April 25 in Chicago.

Native American Rights Fund Executive Director, John Echohawk said, "We want to educate the public about the biggest environmental issue of the nation - saving the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. It is our duty to raise awareness about the threatened status of the Porcupine Caribou breeding grounds to oil exploration. We can stop anticipated development of this pristine wilderness that is the source of traditional subsistence living practiced by the Gwich'in people."

CSNY fans should look for NARF's signature eagle feather banner at the concerts to obtain materials describing our history, mission, objectives and advocacy in the areas of water rights, education, human rights, religious freedom, Indian child welfare and education. All of NARF's literature is complimentary at each tour site.

NARF's Public Relations Administrator, Montoya Whiteman said, "This tour presents a unique educational and networking opportunity to rally public support for our programs and services. NARF is truly grateful to CSNY, Tom Campbell and all the folks at the Guacamole Fund for inviting us on the tour."

Other nonprofit organizations invited on the tour include Amnesty International, the Buffalo Field Campaign, Nuclear Information Resources Service, Greenpeace, Voters for Choice and more. The tour organizers also plan to invite other Native American nonprofit organizations to participate in information booths and volunteer opportunities at each tour location.
