The Morris K. Udall Foundation established the Native American Congressional Internship Program to give college students an opportunity to learn about the federal government from the inside. Interns work full time in congressional offices in Washington, D.C. for ten weeks over the summer and observe government decision-making processes on a daily basis.In addition to receiving a $1,200 stipend at the conclusion of the internship, interns are provided with airfare to and from D.C., lodging and a daily allowance for meals, transportation, and incidentals. Candidates must:
-Be an enrolled member of a recognized tribe.
-Be a college junior, senior, graduate student, law student or graduating from a tribal college.
-Have an acceptable GPA.
