PINE RIDGE: Deliveries of food items can be ordered and paid for by credit card or check or money order to the Sioux Nation Grocery in Pine Ridge.

1.) An order can be phoned in to Dan, the Manager of Sioux Nation Grocery by phone: 605-867-5183; (press 12 for the office for Dan). He will take the name and credit card number and then the order can be faxed to the following phone number, 605-867-5185.
2.) An order can also be sent by mail with check or money order to; Sioux Nation Grocery, Box B, Hwy 18, Pine Ridge, South Dakota, 57770.

All orders are put together and receipts saved by Dan for reference. Copies of the orders are also sent with the deliveries.

All orders are picked up by the Senior Center in Kyle and distributed to those in need in Pine Ridge, Kyle and surrounding areas.

Items such as bags of potatoes, apples, can goods, bread, flour, etc., are needed. Smaller items can also be sent, depending on what is requested and the amount given. Dan is familiar with basic items that are needed as well. Also, some candy if desired especially for the Elders as due to the finance problems through the Trust fund, the Senior Center were not able to deliver the candy bags that have always been delivered to the Elderly. They only have enough to pay the electric etc.

The drivers from the Senior Center are coordinating with the Sioux Nation Grocery store to carry out the food requests of supplies to those who are in need. When orders come in to the store, the Senior Center will be notified and their drivers instructed.With each order...a listing of foods is given to be received by the Senior Center so there is a file of those supplies which have been contributed, as well as a file kept by the grocery store.

The names of those who have contributed are kept with the grocery store unless otherwise advised by those who are ordering. If those ordering wish their names to be given to the Senior Center and to those who receive the items, then Dan should be advised of this so he can place their name or names on the listing that the Center receives.

ROSEBUD: The Buche Grocery Store in Rosebud is handling food baskets to be delivered to those in the Rosebud area and the deliveries will be made by Carter Camp.

Calls can be made to the Buche Grocery, phone: 605-856-4418 and they take credit cards. Those who wish to give a gift basket would ask for either Shanon or Michelle .

The baskets range from 20.00 to 25.00 dollars and up depending on what is requested. A general basket of various items of food stuffs would be salami, apples, cheese etc. or whatever would be requested. Shanon or Michelle will work with whoever calls for the request. The orders would then be picked up by Carter Camp, who can be contacted by e-mail: cartercamp@yahoo.com.

After people have placed an order with the grocery store, then Carter can be notified of this through the e-mail address listed above and the pick-up and delivery would be made. Mr. Camp will also be in contact with the grocery store.
