As part of Native American Heritage Month, acclaimed artist Bill Miller will perform on the main campus of Ohio State University on November 29.Bill Miller in Concert, will be held at the Hitchcock Hall Auditorium, Ohio State University Main Campus, on November 29, 2001 at 7:00 p.m.
Bill will also perform on November 30 for a welcome reception of a local gallery exhibit featuring the work of Native artists held at Fort Hayes Education Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The exhibit entitled “Spirit of the Millennium” will also feature some of Bill's original artwork.
Bill Miller has gained international acclaim for his powerful and poetic style. His unique sound is as reminiscent of Johnny Cash as it is of Neil Young, and the strength and eloquence of his work has earned the respect of the music world. Such disparate icons as Tori Amos and Steve Earle are among his most ardent admirers. Bill is an extraordinary talent, and his awe-inspiring performance appeals to the entire family.
The concert is Co-Sponsored by the: Ethnic Student Services, American Indian Student Services, the American Indian Council, the Ohio State University chapter of the National Coalition on Racism in Sports and the Media, the Office of Minority Affairs, and the Ohio Center for Native American Affairs.
