MORGANTOWN W.V. - The Army Corps of Engineers has issued a public notice that they will hold public hearings on Walmart's application to destroy three wetlands and a tributary at a sacred Indian burial site near Morgantown, WV. The hearing will be held at 7pm at The Ramada Inn, route 119 at I-68. at Morgantown. Please be there.A vigil near the sacred site has tentatively been set for Sunday, July 8, 2001, at 6:00 p.m. and a rally at a yet to be disclosed location will precede the hearing Monday, July 9, 2001. Camping arrangements for July 7-8-9 have been made with the Mason-Dixon Park near Morgantown. The M-D park is easily accessible from the Mt. Morris exit on I-79 a few miles north of Morgantown. Please remember the Army Corps is not the enemy. They have the ability to stop Walmart. Please be courteous in your statements to them but do not hesitate to let them know how strongly you feel about what Walmart is attempting to do. With your help we will stop Walmart from continuing the systematic disrespect and attempted genocide of Indian People.
