AIMFL To Demonstrate Against Mascot

The American Indian Movement of Florida will hold demonstrations against the racist, disgraceful, shameful and stereotypical use of American Indian people as a sports team mascot by Cleveland's major league baseball team at Tropicana Field on May 4th and 6th.
On May 4th AIM members and supporters will protest at the 5th Ave S and 16th Street corner of Tropicana Field beginning at 5:30 and lasting until 7:00 PM
On May 6th AIM members and supporters will gather at the Florida AIM State Office 136 4th Street N in downtown Saint Petersburg at 11:40 am (Across from Williams Park) and march to the demonstration site at Tropicana Field. Those who can not march will meet at the demonstration site (5th Ave S and 16th Street) at 12:00 noon.
