About the conference:
* This conference is designed for youth by youth.
* Youth from age 12 and older, tribal leaders, parents, elders, tribal administrators and practitioners are all invited.
* It is an opportunity to come together to collaborate with each other to share ideas.
* Participants will learn new ways to empower them selves with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to address underage drinking in their communities.
* Interactive and innovative activities, presentations, and workshops will provide the atmosphere for fun, learning and sharing.Issues to be Addressed:
* The Effects of Underage Drinking on the Individual, Family and Community
* Alternatives to Underage Drinking and Strategies to Redirect Energy
* Balancing Culture and Traditions with Modern Times
* Building Knowledge, Skills and Abilities to Become Proactive Community Members

Location: The Conference will be held at: Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango, CO 81301-3999
Registration:
* The deadline for registration is Friday, June 1, 2001. After June 1, registrations will be accepted as space permits.
* There is no fee for this conference however, each participant or youth group will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
* Youth 18 and under will need a chaperone to attend the conference.

Full Package: Includes lodging and tax for three nights, double occupancy, three full meals each day, linens, and toiletries. $ 105.00 total/per person
