Tobique Resreve, New Brunswick CA - Two women on the Tobique Reserve in New Brunswick, Canada are holding firm in their efforts to stop Department of Fisheries and Oceans from enforcing a bogus treaty. Support for the issue is growing and gathering momentum, says a source at the reserve.Terry St. Jacques and Colleen Sapier are still occupying the band office on the reserve, however, the band has disconnected their phone lines, so the girls are unable to communicate with the outside. We have been unable to reach the girls by phone, however, as far as we know they are still in good health and doing well.
We ask your support in placing a phone call to the band office to voice your support for Terry and Colleen, and demand that the phone lines be turned back on! Below is the number for the band office, as well as the switchboard. Try both!
Band office 1-506-273-5415 ~ Switchboard 1-506-273-5400
Please call and voice your support for this issue.
