We made it back from the Native American Music (NAMMY) Awards safely. We had a great time, if you ever get the chance to go to this show, don't pass it up. We stayed at the Radisson where most of the Entertainers were staying, while eating dinner we were surrounded by people like, Rodney Grant, Jana, Lightfoot, Rita Coolidge, Robert Tree Cody, Miss Indian World Lillian, Notah Begay and numerous other super stars. Their performance was above outstanding, we got to sit on the first row, front and center it was fantastic.

While we were their we had the opportunity to meet Sam Billison head of the Native American code talkers association. He is in full support of the national holiday for Native Americans, becoming a reality and commented that he had no problem with Columbus Day being changed. The Native American Music Awards honored the code talkers during the ceremony, they received a standing ovation. Mr. Billison requested that we stay in contact with each other during the process of the holiday bill coming before Congress.

We are in the process of developing a web site for United Native America dot com, from this site we are going to offer free membership to the organization. Everyone that is on our mailing list at this time will have the option of joining United Native America and remain on the email list. The holiday issue is just one issue that we are working on, our web site email group will be used primarily for issue alerts and call to action. We also will have a web site called America Indian Made dot com which will be an online Native American shopping mall. As soon as these sites are up and going we will announce it to the email list. A percentage of all sales on this site will be donated to Native American causes to be announced. With all the help we have been given on the national holiday issue, we are going to have one super link's page.

Please use the web site below to contact your Tribal Nation or other Tribal Nations and ask them to draft a letter in support of the national holiday for Native Americans. Your letter should be directed to the Chief or Chairman of the Nation. They should send their letter of support to Kimberly Teehee at 2187 Rayburn House, Office Building, Washington, DC. 20515 and a copy to United Native America Rt. 6 box 243 Muldrow, Okla. 74948, if they need more information have them call Mike Graham at 918-427-9894. The national holiday petition at this time is 11,684. The holiday petition is doing great, we need to keep plugging it as often as we can to other groups of people. We would like for the petition to hit 20,000 before the first of the year. If anyone has any ideas on promoting the petition please email us and we will pass it on to the list. We appreciate all the emails everyone is sending us concerning this issue and all the help we have received, we are proving that working together we can achieve any goal we set.
