Duluth, Minnesota ~ 'Duluth Entertainment Conference Center At Duluth' On August 19-22, 2000, Indian Elders from throughout the nation will come together for a single purpose, to deliver a spiritual Message to America. A Message to America from this continent's first people comes at an interesting and important time. This year marks the beginning of a new thousand-year period in our history-a new millennium. So much has changed, even in our lifetimes, that it is difficult to imagine what life on earth might be like in Centuries yet to come. And even though Native Cultures in North America go back thousands of years, few Indian people have stopped to consider what this new millennium might mean for us--as individuals, as tribal members, and as the original peoples of this nation.
Events include an Elder Storytelling Contest. Special events include, a Pow Wow & Traditional Feast, Prayer Breakfast, and Submitting Messages to America.
