American Indian Political Prisoner Leonard Peltier is having a Parole Review Hearing on June 12th, 2000 in Kansas. The Leonard Peltier Defense Committee has asked for actions to take place worldwide in support of Peltier receiving Parole. A vigil will be held on on June 11th, 2000, in Cincinnati, Ohio.Just a few days before a vigil was held in front of the Federal Building in downtown Cincinnati, May 13th, 2000, an FBI agent based at the Cincinnati office created a web page against Peltier's Parole. The URL for the web site created by FBI Agent Woods is (http://www.noparolepeltier.com).
Agent Woods was interviewed on Channel 12, locally, about his involvement in the Peltier case, the web site he created, and why he was doing it.
No one from either the CZC nor the AIM Support Group of NKY and Ohio were contacted about their views on Peltier's case. Therefore, we extend an urgent request, if you can make it to Cincinnati, Ohio for the vigil in support of Leonard Peltier receiving Parole, please do come.
