Long Standing Bear Chief has called for the meeting to be held in Toppenish, Washington on Saturday, February 12, 2000. The meeting is to begin at 9:00 am.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the declaration of freedom from Canada and the United States and the rebirth of the Ancient Blackfoot Nation. We do not use the name Blackfeet in this instance because we are not out to overthrow the present system. Our intent is to get people to move away from it as quickly as possible. Others need to be more informed about the issues and the laws that have been imposed on us these many years. Since 1492 if one wants to get technical about when it all started.

We will be taking people through the laws on the books as well as looking at these laws from the perspective of the ancient Blackfoot beliefs and traditions of government and living with each other and the earth.

We DO NOT represent any white man "ism" because we believe that is the road to lock step thinking and control by a click of men, since women usually have to take a back seat to the men in charge... the proof is in Catholicism, protestantism, mercantilism, capitalism, communism, and the rest of western man's "isms". It a fearsome road, these isms, because men who get involved settle for killing one another if you do not follow the lead.
