Greetings:The American Indian Movement of Florida (Florida AIM) cordially invites all human beings who can, to meet with the American Indian Movement of Florida, supporters and friends in a commemoration of the historic and courageous 71-day liberation of Wounded Knee by the Oglala Sioux Civil Rights Organization and American Indian Movement in 1973.
The film "Incident At Oglala" will be shown and entertainment will be provide by George Garcia of the American Horse band.
A meeting of local members of the American Indian Movement of Florida and Florida AIM Support Groups will be held as well to discuss National issues of importance such as the on going hate crime murders of Indians nation wide, occupation by AIM of the Oglala Sioux Tribal Headquarters, Leonard Peltier and more. Local issues, such as Springtime Tallahassee, FSU, Reedy Mound, Key Vista etc., will also be discused.
If possible please join us FEBRUARY 27, 1999 at the Saint Petersburg Times Auditorium at 2:00 P.M.
