TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - The Cherokee Nation will hold an “Orientation to
Entrepreneurship” workshop on March 10, to educate interested community
members about owning and operating a small business. The workshop is
open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. in the tribe’s Bid Center,
located in Room 117 of the old motel behind the Restaurant of the
Cherokees.
The workshop is hosted by the Cherokee Nation’s Small Business
Assistance Center. There is no cost to attend.
According to Veronica Hix, Entrepreneur Development Manager, the
material to be covered in the workshop was designed to promote
self-sufficiency and educate potential small business loan applicants
about the ins and outs of owning a business.
“This session is going to provide participants with a good overview of
what entrepreneurship is all about,” said Hix.
