The Cherokee Nation will be hosting a workshop for small business owners
who want to obtain certification through the Federal 8(a)/SDB or HUBZone
process on Thursday, July 23, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the
Northeastern Technology Center (NTC) South Campus near Pryor.
The workshop, sponsored by the Cherokee Nation Small Business Assistance Center and NTC, will include information on eligibility requirements, how certification can grow a business, how to use the certification to obtain government contracts, how to submit the certification application and how to market your business to federal contractors. A representative from the federal Small Business Administration will be present to answer questions, along with representatives from the Cherokee Nation Small Business Assistance Center (SBAC).
