TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - Cherokee Nation’s tag offices will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., so that staff can participate in training. Locations include the Cherokee Nation tag offices in Tahlequah, Gore, Collinsville and Adair.

Cherokee Nation’s tag offices provide Cherokee Nation citizens living in the 14-county jurisdictional area of the tribe the opportunity to purchase tribal motor vehicle tags. A portion of the revenue from each tag sold is contributed annually to area school districts. During the past five years, since the tribal motor vehicle tag program began, the Cherokee Nation has contributed more than $13 million to help schools in its 14-county tribal service jurisdiction.

For more information about the tribally operated tag offices call, phone: 918-453-5100.
