Area Students Earn Awards At Annual CNSE Fair

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma - Several students throughout Cherokee Nation recently won awards during the Third Annual Cherokee Nation Science and Engineering Fair. The fair is a venue for students to present their research projects in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines to be judged and critiqued.

The fair brought 162 students from nearly a dozen local schools together to compete in the areas of behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry, botany, chemistry, computer science, earth and space sciences, engineering, environmental science, mathematics, medicine and health science, microbiology, physics and zoology. Students entered more than 135 projects, while some participated in team projects.

The Cherokee Nation Science and Engineering Fair was established by Cherokee Nation Education Services to promote academic interest and prepare students for college in the areas science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Launch in external player
