PARK HILL, Oklahoma - The Cherokee Heritage Center will be holding
auditions for the summer performance entitled Under the Cherokee Moon
on April 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on April 4 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Auditions will be held at the schoolhouse
located in Adams Corner Rural Village on the grounds of the Cherokee
Heritage Center. Outdoor theater offers an environment for actors to
expand their skills while gaining invaluable experience in a small-cast.
Auditioning actors will need to prepare a one-minute monologue, speech, or poem - or they may choose to read bios about the historical figures portrayed in the show or select a monologue from the play "Under the Cherokee Moon". Please bring a recent photo headshot and resume if available. Cherokee men and women, ages 20 to 60, are invited to audition. Acting experience preferred, but not essential. Under the Cherokee Moon will run on Friday and Saturday evenings from May 30 to August 16 and will start at 7 p.m. The Cherokee Heritage Center is located three miles south of Tahlequah, Oklahoma,just off Highway 62 on South Keeler Drive.
