PARK HILL, Oklahoma – The Cherokee Heritage Center will host the 9th
Annual Cherokee Heritage Gospel Sing and Hog Fry on May 17 from
3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Music lovers will enjoy this free concert and hog-fry
on the grounds of the Cherokee Heritage Center.
The public is invited to bring lawn chairs and relax under the blue skies while listening to Cherokee and English gospel songs sung by local choirs, individuals and regional vocal groups. The entire family will enjoy the beautiful music, fun and food. Before the gospel sing, guests can take advantage of the many attractions and exhibits offered at the Cherokee Heritage Center at the regular admission price. These attractions include the Ancient Village, Adams Corner Rural Village, the Cherokee National Museum, and the Trail of Tears Exhibit. Entry to the grounds and museum store are free. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The Cherokee Heritage Center is located three miles south of downtown Tahlequah, just off of Highway 62 on Willis Road.
