CATOOSA, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host a Job and Resource Fair on
Wednesday, November 28, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Cherokee Nation
Casino and Resort, 777 W. Cherokee St., in Catoosa.
“A major goal of the Cherokee Nation is to provide adequate employment opportunities for Cherokee citizens and our Oklahoma neighbors seeking to enhance their financial stability,” said Chad Smith, Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation. Companies from a wide variety of industries from northeast Oklahoma area have been invited to participate in the event. According to the Cherokee Nation Career Services Group, the key to the continued growth of the area is the need to attract, recruit and retain highly talented professionals to our area. “We are pleased to focus on positioning the region as an attractive place for professionals to live and work,” said Melanie Dodge, Manger ROSS Programs. “I encourage everyone to come out and attend the Job and Resource Fair. It’s a great way and place to open professional doors.” “The Cherokee Nation will continue to bring jobs to our Cherokee communities, so our people can stay home, raise families and give back to other Cherokees,” said Smith. “A family that is self-supporting is an asset to any community; we will continue to provide opportunities for Cherokee families to be financially stable.” For more information on the job and resource fair, call 918-453-5555 or 918-256-8595. |
