TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - Hospice of the Cherokee will host a
fundraiser breakfast on Saturday, December 1, from 7:30 a.m.
to 10 a.m., in the Cherokee Nation Community Room, located behind
the Restaurant of the Cherokees.
Hospice of the Cherokee is a department of Cherokee Nation Home Health Services (CNHHS). CNHHS is a tribally incorporated, non-profit agency that is Medicare certified to provide state licensed hospice care. Hospice is a unique way of caring for people with a terminal illness and their family. This care includes physical, emotional and spiritual support. Hospice care is provided by a public agency or private company approved by Medicare. It is for all age groups, during their final stages of life. The goal of hospice is to provide palliative care to patients and emotional support to their families. The cost of the “Breakfast with Santa” is $5 per person and will consist of pancakes and sausage/bacon with juice, milk or coffee. Santa Clause will be on hand to greet visitors and will be available for pictures with the kids. The cost a picture with Santa is $2 per picture.
