CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA - Cherokee Nation Businesses announces the hiring of
Ronald J. Foster as Chief Executive Officer.
Foster, a Cherokee Nation citizen, brings nearly 30 years of management experience to CNB, the Cherokee Nation’s wholly-owned holding company that oversees the Cherokee Nation’s portfolio of businesses. Foster comes to CNB from his position as senior vice-president of Compressco, Inc., an international oil field services group of TETRA Technologies. “I am very pleased that Ron is joining the management team of CNB,” said Lloyd Armstrong, Chairman of CNB’s Board of Directors. “He brings many years of valuable experience to CNB and he is enthusiastic and eager to get started. Running CNB, the parent company of all of Cherokee Nation’s commercial operations, is vitally important work.” Foster replaces Callie Catcher, who has served as interim CEO since July 15, 2005 and is now returning to her full-time role as Treasurer for the Cherokee Nation. He begins his tenure at CNB on March 5. “I can't tell you how excited I am to represent the Cherokee Nation and the Board of Directors in the advancement of Cherokee Nation Businesses,” Foster said. “This is the position that I have worked hard throughout my career to attain and consider it a great privilege to be given this vote of confidence. CNB has the great opportunity to drive the economy of the Cherokee Nation, creating jobs for our citizens and providing revenue for government services. I am happy to become a part of that effort.” |
