STILWELL, OKLAHOMA - Cherokee Nation Industries announces the
appointment of Bryan Collins as president and chief executive officer.
Collins, a Cherokee Nation citizen, brings more than 20 years of manufacturing and distribution experience to CNI, the Cherokee Nation’s wholly-owned tribal corporation that specializes in aerospace and defense manufacturing, distribution services, personnel management, telecommunications and construction management. “We are excited to have Bryan as our CEO,” said David Ballew, chairman of CNI’s board of directors. “He brings us years of experience and a proven track record. We’ve had a good run of success while he served in an interim capacity, and we’re confident he can lead the CNI team to new levels of governance, growth, and profitability, which should result in increased dividend payments to the Cherokee Nation in the coming months and years.” Over the past year, Collins served as interim CEO, implementing a new organizational structure, directing business strategies and driving employee empowerment and accountability. During that time, CNI secured several multi-million dollar contracts and hired more than 200 new workers, produced record sales numbers and managed three multi-million dollar construction projects. “I appreciate this great opportunity and the confidence of the board,” said Collins. “I have a great deal of passion for CNI. The employees are dedicated to making CNI a world-class provider. I am eager for us to continue heading the right direction and make an even bigger positive impact on the Cherokee Nation.” Prior to his role as acting CEO, Collins was vice president of operations for CNI where he was instrumental in implementing higher quality standards and making improvements to business philosophies and facilities. Collins also worked for Cherokee Nation Enterprises for three years, supervising several departments as director of purchasing and playing a key role in opening Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa. Collins is a graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. For more information on Cherokee Nation Industries, visit CNI online. |
