TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The official voting locations are set for the
upcoming Cherokee Nation special election on Saturday, March 3. Polls
will be open on the day of the election at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m.
Cherokee citizens registered to vote in the election should have received a new voter registration card, listing their district number and precinct number along with a code letter, which identifies the actual voting location for the upcoming special election. In District 1, letter A signifies the voter should vote at the library of Sequoyah Schools, located at 17091 S. Muskogee Ave. in Tahlequah. Letter B signifies the voter should vote at the Keys High School cafeteria, located at 26622 S. 520 Road in Keys. For letter C, the location is the old Hulbert Fire Department, located at 111 E. Main St. in Hulbert. Letter D is the library at Briggs School, located at 17210 S. 569 Rd. in Tahlequah, and letter E is the library at Lowery School, located at 21132 E. 640 Rd in Tahlequah. In District 2, letter A is the Wilma P. Mankiller Clinic, located on Hwy 51 east in Stilwell. Letter B indicated voters should go to Westville School, located at Hwy 62 and Park St. in Westville. Letter C is located at Cave Springs School on old Hwy 17 in Bunch, and letter D is located at Bell School on Bell/Salem Rd in Stilwell. In District 3, voters with the precinct letter A should go to the Vian Senior Citizens Center at 109 S. Blackstone in Vian, and letter B is at the Marble City City Hall at 416 Main St. in Marble City. Letter C voters will go to the First United Methodist Church at 2100 McGee in Sallisaw, and letter D voters will be at Muldrow Middle School at 713 W. Shawntell Smith Blvd. in Muldrow. In District 4, voters for letter A will be at Warner Middle School, located at 1012 5th Ave. in Warner. Voters in precinct B will vote at Fort Gibson City Hall, located at 200 W. Popular Ave. in Fort Gibson, and letter C voters will go to the Okay Senior Citizen Center, located at 3701 E. 75th St. North in Okay. In District 5, voters in precinct A will vote at the Community Center – Senior Citizen Center at 201 SW 1st St. in Afton, while voters in precinct B will go to the Grove Community Center at 104 W. 3rd St. in Grove. Letter C voters will vote at the Delaware County Community Center at 429 9th St. in Jay, and Kenwood voters will go to the Kenwood Community Center in Salina. Voters in precinct E will vote at the Kansas Community Center, located at 101 S. Cherokee St. in Kansas. For District 6, voters in precinct A will vote at the agriculture building located on the Pryor fairgrounds on Old Hwy 20 in Pryor. Voters in precinct B will be at the AMO Community Clinic, located at 900 N. Owen Walters Blvd. in Salina, and letter C voters will vote at City Hall, located at 109 E. Ross St. in Locust Grove. District 7 voters in precinct A will vote at the Claremore VFW located at 1717 W. DuPont in Claremore, and voters in precinct B will go to the Chelsea Senior Citizens Center, located at 618 Pine St. in Chelsea. Voters in District 8 with the letter A will go to Keeler Heights Community Building, located at 1003 S. Virginia in Bartlesville. Voters in precinct B will vote at the Maxwell Park Library at 1313 N. Canton in Tulsa, and voters in precinct C will vote at the Collinsville Library, located at 1223 W. Main in Collinsville. In District 9, voters in precinct A will vote at Tom Buffington heights, located at 900 McNelis #31-B in Vinita. Precinct B voters will go to the Cherokee Nation Community Building at 215 Oklahoma St. in South Coffeyville and precinct C voters will go to the Senior Citizens Building located at 238 N. Maple St. in Nowata.
