VINITA, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation Department of Natural Resources will cosponsor “Conservation in Agriculture Day” at the Craig County Conservation District office on 235 W. Hope Road in Vinita on May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.This event will include presentations by official with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Farm Service Agency Rural Development Office, the Craig County Conservation District, Oklahoma State University’s Extension Service and Cherokee Nation’s Department of Natural Resources.
Topics will include broom sedge control, pesticide records, poison ponds, Oklahoma wildlife programs, agro-terrorism and conservation buffers.
