CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA - Cherokee Nation Enterprises (CNE) has purchased the former Super 8 motel, located just off of 193rd E. Avenue at I-44 near the Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa."As we continue to expand the Cherokee Casino Resort, CNE purchased this property to compliment the resort hotel," said CNE CEO David Stewart. "Our resort hotel is at capacity each and every weekend. We can now offer our guests additional overnight accommodations adjacent to the casino at a more economical rate."
CNE began operating the motel over a week ago and will not continue using the Super 8 brand. The motel will be renamed the Cherokee Casino Inn. Room rates are $49.00 per night for a weekday stay, and $59.00 per night for a weekend stay.
Shuttle bus service will be provided to and from the resort, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The 113-room motel is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades, including new mattresses, linens, curtains, paint, carpeting, artwork, bathroom fixture upgrades, and new heating and air units, among other changes.
When fully staffed, the Cherokee Casino Inn will employ almost 30 people.
