COLCORD, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation’s Natural Resources Department will sponsor an informational agricultural meeting on Thursday, June 15, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Colcord Community Center. This meeting will earn attendees two poultry credits and is open to the public.Dinner will take place at 5 p.m. with the program beginning at 5:30 p.m. The program agenda will include overviews of FSA and Rural Development Housing programs; the Spavinaw Creek Water Quality Project and purpose and results expected from installation of Best Management Practices; OSU extension updates; NRCS programs and water quality concerns; and information on the Cherokee Nation’s Outreach to Farmers Program.
Other sponsors include the Natural Resources Conservation Service, the Water Quality Division of the Oklahoma Conservation Commission (Spavinaw Creek Water Quality Project), the Delaware County Conservation District and the Farm Service Agency.
