Tahlequah, Oklahoma – The Cherokee Heritage Center has announced plans to present the 11th Annual Cherokee Homecoming Art Show and Sale beginning Saturday, August 26, with an awards reception beginning at noon. The public is invited to attend and refreshments will be served. The show will run through Sunday, October 29, at the museum.The highly anticipated event draws artisans and visitors from around the country who browse and purchase Paintings, Graphics, Traditional Arts, Textiles, Sculpture, Pottery, Basketry.
The show has become a time-honored tradition, and brings skilled artisans together in order to preserve the Cherokee craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation. The Cherokee Heritage Center strives to educate visitors on all aspects of Cherokee history and culture and has permanent exhibitions that examine historical information regarding the events surrounding Cherokees.
