TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – Beginning in February, the Cherokee Nation Cultural Resource Center will be sponsoring several 10-week Cherokee language classes throughout the Cherokee Nation.Classes are currently scheduled to start in February in Tahlequah, Claremore, Dry Creek, Greasy, Salina, Sperry, Muldrow and Gore. Classes in South Coffeyville and Jay will begin in March.
The class is for anyone interested in learning to read, write and speak the Cherokee language. There is no fee to take the class, and all books and materials are provided free of charge by the Cherokee Nation Cultural Resource Center.
