SALINA, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation AMO Salina Clinic recently sponsored the annual Healthy Heart Day, which provided free health screenings, healthy snacks, blood pressure tests, blood sugar screening and basic overall health information. Approximately 250 individuals participated in the event.

“We offered this in February in conjunction with the fact that February is American Heart Month and we had a great turnout of people,” said Susan Johnson, Community Health Nurse, LPN. “We focused on our diabetic hypertension patients during this event.”
