TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation’s Healthy Nation program will be hosting a Wings Fitness Expo on Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9, at Heart O’Hills Salvation Army Camp at Welling, located east of Tahlequah.An evening program is planned and check-in will start at 4:00 p.m. with dinner at 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. Activities are planned throughout the day on Saturday, including ropes course, swimming, aerobics, yoga, chair exercises, tennis, stickball and Cherokee Marbles as well as classes on nutrition and fitness.
Limited space is available for 200 participants and advanced registration is required. A limited amount of housing will be available for up to 50 individuals in dorm style facilities. These spaces will be available to those individuals who live at least 60 miles or more from Tahlequah.
