TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation will host a Senior Mr. and Ms. Cherokee Pageant on Thursday, August 31st at 6:00 p.m. in the Tribal Council Chambers.

All contestants must reside in the 14 county jurisdiction of the Cherokee Nation, be 60 years-of-age by August 1st, be a Cherokee Nation citizen and must be dressed in traditional Cherokee attire. The pageant committee reserves the right to refuse entry if attire is deemed inappropriate.

All applications must be completed and submitted by Thursday, August 24th at 4 p.m. No late entries will be accepted. Check in will begin on Thursday, August 31st at 5 p.m.

Contestants will be judged on traditional attire, individual talent and an oral cultural presentation of 3-5 minutes long.
