MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – Cherokee Nation’s Muskogee Health Center is gearing up for more patients in the area. When the new center opens, not only will women and children be served, but male patients will be seen as well. Therefore, males who qualify for health-related services are being asked to create charts with the clinic.

“We are urging male patients to come to our current location on Fridays between 1:00 and 5:00 pm to open a new chart,” said Rhonda Cochran, regional clinic director for the Cherokee Nation.
Cochran said even though the opening of the new center is still a few months away, males should go ahead and have their charts created, enabling them to begin to schedule appointments immediately.
The new Muskogee Health Center is slated to open in the fall of 2007 and will offer a wide range of new out-patient medical services, including family medicine, and dental. In addition the clinic will also provide x-ray and physical therapy.
New patients will need to bring with them their tribal registration cards, drivers license, social security card, Medicaid, Medicare, and any private insurance cards to open a chart.
The current Muskogee Health Center is located at 1805 N. York. For more information, call (918) 687-0201, or visit about the Muskogee Health Center online.
