“We are starting to build our pediatric patient load for the new clinic scheduled to open in 2007,” said Rhonda Cochran, regional clinic director for Cherokee Nation. “Children have always been a priority at the Muskogee Health Center and will continue to be at our new location.”
The center is planning an open house to encourage parents of young children to come out, view the addition and meet the staff. According to Cochran, everything in the new pediatric area is completely “kid friendly,” from the paint on the walls to small chairs in the waiting room.
The current Muskogee clinic is and sees an average of 1800 women and children per month. For more information contact the Muskogee Health Center, phone: 918-687-0201 or visit the Cherokee Nation web site.
