TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Nation WINGS Fitness Program will be hosting a hike at the Overlook Shelter at Tenkiller State Park, located on Highway 10, on Saturday, September 16. Registration and sign up begins at 7:00 a.m. and participants are expected to hike in the area until about 11:00 a.m.The Cherokee Nation WINGS program is an incentive based program using a points system and offering incentives to participants. There is no membership fee and applications will be available on the day of the hike.
The hike is free and open to both WINGS and non-WINGS members. Hikers that are 12-years-of-age and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All participants must sign in and complete a physical activity waiver in order to receive the incentive.
