The Cherokee Nation Human Resource Department will be visiting three areas in the Cherokee Nation; Vinita, Claremore and Sallisaw, to assist Cherokee citizens with employment resources.The group will be in Sallisaw on Friday, September 8th from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Sub-Office; in Claremore on Wednesday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Claremore Hospital; and in Vinita on Wednesday, September 20th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tom Buffington Heights in Vinita. Cherokee Nation Human Resource representative Loretta McNac will be available to inform Cherokee citizens of employment resources available through the Cherokee Nation.
According to Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Chad Smith, providing career opportunities is vital to the future of the tribe and its citizens.
“One of our major initiatives is to create jobs and help people with training so they can earn the good jobs they would like or the entrepreneurial skills to start their own businesses,” said Smith. “The ultimate goal of this vision is to improve our quality of life and enjoy to its fullest each moment that the Creator has generously given us.”
