TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA – The Cherokee Heritage Center is honored to present the 11th annual Cherokee Homecoming Art Show and Sale, beginning Saturday, August 26, and running through Sunday, October 29, at the Center. The public is invited to attend the awards beginning at 12 noon on August 26.The highly anticipated event draws artisans and visitors from around the country who browse and purchase paintings, graphics, traditional arts, textiles, sculpture, pottery, and basketry.
The show is a time-honored tradition and brings skilled artisans in varied media together to help preserve the Cherokee craftsmanship passed down from generation to generation.
The Cherokee Heritage Center is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Admission is $8.50 for adults and $5 for children, and includes entrance to the museum, ancient village, Adams Corner rural village and the genealogy center.
