TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will host a three-day conference for small business owners and those interested in starting their own business. The conference will be held Tuesday through Thursday, June 7-9, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., in the Cherokee Nation Emergency Medical Services (EMS) building."The conference will cover the basics of small business start up, providing information on research tools, developing a business plan, marketing, and strategic planning," said Shay Smith, manager of the Cherokee Nation Small Business Assistance Center.
The Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) will provide training at the conference. Training session titles include; Creating a Dream, Envisioning a Dream, Selling the Dream and Protecting the Dream.
There is no cost to attend the conference and registration is open to the general public.
