SALINA, OKLAHOMA - Cherokee Nation AMO Salina Clinic will be sponsoring Healthy Heart Day on Friday, March 11 from 9 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. to raise awareness of heart disease and diabetes."Normally this day is held in February as it is National Heart Month, however due to unforeseen circumstances we had to re-schedule this event," said Susan Johnson, community health nurse for the AMO Salina Clinic. "We hope this event will help educate and raise awareness in our patients of heart disease and diabetes."
This event is open to the public and there is no charge to attend. The clinic staff will provide free health screenings, healthy snacks, blood pressure checks, blood sugar screenings and basic overall health information. The clinic will also give away door prizes throughout the health fair.
No medical appointments have been scheduled during this activity.
