TAHLEQUAH, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee National Holiday Marble Tournament will begin on Monday, August 29, at the Cloud Creek marble field, north of Kansas, Okla. Participants will need to qualify at Cloud Creek in order to play in the final rounds of the tournament to be held in Tahlequah on Saturday, September 3, at the Cherokee Heritage Center.Registration and drawing for the tournament bracket will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, at the Cloud Creek marble field. Tournament play will begin at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, August 29, and continue through Friday evening.
Teams should consist of three players and may include a fourth alternate. Team entry fee is $5 per player. Top teams will receive prizes.

The Cherokee Nation celebrates its National Holiday every year over Labor Day weekend, in observance of the signing of the Cherokee Nation constitution. This year’s Holiday theme, “Celebrating the Great State of Sequoyah,” commemorates Indian Territory and the state that almost was.
