TAHLEQUAH, OK - The Cherokee Nation will host a business development workshop on Monday, February 28, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The workshop, presented by Sue Floyd from the Small Business Development Center, will cover tips to help business owners and entrepreneurs better understand business financial statements.

"To run an efficient business, you have to be able to understand financial statements," said Crystal Washington, marketing assistant with the Cherokee Nation. "A lot of important decisions could hinge on whether or not a business owner has a good understanding of what's going on with the business financially."

This workshop is free and is open to the public. It will be held in Cherokee Nation Community Room, located behind the Restaurant of the Cherokees, 3.5 miles south of Tahlequah on Highway 62.
