SALLISAW, OKLAHOMA - The Cherokee Nation will host the Sequoyah County Farm Show from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 18 at the Sequoyah County Fairgrounds in Sallisaw.Ken Barnes will be speaking on animal identification and Bill Burton will give a presentation on estate and tax planning.
“We will also learn about United States Department of Agriculture programs,” said Steve Swogger, agriculture liaison with the Cherokee Nation.
The show will offer information on services available to farmers from the Cherokee Nation Agriculture office, Dixon Farm Supply, Dow Chemical, Fort Dodge Pharmaceuticals, Farm Credit, and the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife. Many other exhibitors will also distribute information.
The public in invited to attend and the Cherokee Nation will provide a meal at 6 p.m.
